About the Author
Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill is the daughter of the 11th Duke of Marlborough, whose family home is Blenheim Palace. Her interest in interior design began in the Baroque grandeur of Blenheim and the other great houses in which she and her family live, and on leaving school she pursued this interest by studying fine art in Florence and Paris. Her formal studies were completed in England at the world-famous Inchbald School of Design.Lady Hernietta now runs the highly successful interior design company, Woodstock Designs, and undertakes commissions worldwide. Her fabric and wallpaper collections, marketed as Spencer-Churchill Designs Ltd, are sold through leading interior design stores, as well as in her own outlets in London and Woodstock, England, and through Grey Watkins in America. She is a past President of the British national chapter of the International Society of Interior Designers (ISID) and is an active member of the unified International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

Very well written and illustrated
Excellent book.
This is a fantastic book for classic home decorating tips, beautiful pictures and ideas. The rooms are beautiful and can be copied at a lower budget with great results.
Nice!
A great book for a design collection
This is a nice book to have for the information it contains and for the author's authoritative opinions on what traditional interiors should look like. But some of the photographs, albeit beautiful, are a little dated. Overall, a nice addition to any collection but not quite a must-have.
Fabulous! If you love all things English it is a must. Bravo to Henrietta! All her books are worth having!
If you are just starting to decorate the small places in your home like table tops etc.. and need some help with great ideas this is the perfect book. That is if you love antiques and the classic type things. If your stlyle is modern, woodsy, etc.. this book would not be of help.
