My father bought this book and its companion when I was a kid. The recipes are AMAZING and very easy to follow and make. I always turn to these first for ideas for baking and cooking. I now have a piece of my childhood in adulthood. Great price, fast shipping. I'm so happy with this purchase.
Lots of good receipes, including one for elephant stew (serves 3800!!) Other ones were more usual, and good!

It contains so many interesting stories, recipes, pictures.It is more than a cook book.I love the way it is broken down in states, interesting tosee the difference between regions.
A lot of great recipes, some repetition however.
