We bought three Bahamas guides and found none terribly helpfu. A cruising guide should talk about anchorages, holding (especially in a place like the Bahamas), and some special places not to miss. He is best on the Exuma Land and Sea Park, but concentrated on what it was and the history, not on the "don't miss" things.Unfortunately, the Bahama's have been hammered by the recession and storms, and many places are closed or open only for lunch, for example. Those issues were not covered.
The quality of the paper was very poor. And the ink was water base. Once you got a drop of water on the page it penetrated to at least two or three other pages and erased the words on the pages. It makes no sense to design a book for navigational purposes when it is not survivable! I usually do not write reviews. But, for the price you pay for this book and I purchased the entire three volumes, if I had caught in a rain storm or had taken some big waves I would have lost the entire books on my boat. I do not recommend them.
Nothing new here. A disappointing read and reference guide. Probably will return book if possible as it offers no new information.
Great cruising guide. It doesn't look like a regular commercial cruising guide found out there. It's a book to show you around those places stated. It's a great addition to our on board cruising information, we really took a lot of advance having it with us when we did the trip.Wilmag
